Ceramic knives

SwedeTech ceramic knives are made out of a material called Zirconia (or zirconium dioxide.) The hardness of the material gives the ceramic knife its outstanding sharpness.

Benefits

•A ceramic knife is sharper and will retain its sharpness for much longer than a traditional steel blade.

•Food will not stain the ceramic blade.

•A ceramic knife will not rust.

•A ceramic knife will not transfer any metallic tastes to the food.

Recommended areas of use

A Ceramic knife can be used as a regular kitchen knife. It will perform well for all regular kitchen work such as chopping vegetables, cutting fruit and boneless meats.

Maintenance – care for your new knife

•Only use plastic or wood cutting boards.

•As with any knife avoid dropping, throwing or general misuse.

•Please avoid using the ceramic knife to cut seeds, bones, frozen food or other hard produce.

•Please hand wash only to avoid any wear and tear or chipping as a result of machine wash.

•Do not attempt to sharpen the ceramic knife yourself unless you have access to a sharpener specific to ceramic knives.

Wear

Over time miniscule abrasions and chipping can be seen on the blade. This is normal wear for the hard material which the ceramic knife is made of. Despite tiny chipping the knife will still retain its sharpness.
